Located just around the corner from the very busy and popular Nyhavn harbourfront in Copenhagen is this wonderful Homemade Ice Cream shop. If you didn't step just one street away from where everyone else was, you would miss this treasure. Run by the sweetest of ladies, she will allow you to try any of their fantastic flavors, including the uniquely Danish, Hyldeblomst. Made from the white fragrant flowers that bloom in the Danish spring, you will find Elderberry as it is more widely known, every where. Me, I went for the peach and rich chocolate combination. Silky and smooth, decadent and delicious it was the best summer treat.
I love it... a traveler too... but now.. I have seemed to settle as being a permanent expat in Japan.
